Just found out Monika is back in Canada, so good to hear it!! Alfred in prison – not good. Bizarre German justice system.

Could you give a hint, how to get a ticket like you mentioned: “Monika: I was alone traveling. I started out with a family member, the very first leg. Then basically eight trains later I was at an airport in another country. And then I could buy a ticket like walking up to a bus ticket counter, except that this was to get on an airplane. And so I flew back to Canada.”
One never knows…thanx!
