Black Woman: Let the power go back to the White people. We as black people, we just have to accept that we failed dismally! For 28 years we were given chance to prove ourselves and we failed dismally!
This thing of voting one black person after the other, it won’t help us with anything! Let power go back to White people. When White people were governing this country irrespective of whatever that they were doing, but our parents were working.
Kids used to get [word unclear] to go to universities. Towns used to be clean. There was jobs everywhere!
You apply, you get a job! Even if you didn’t have qualifications you could work in hotels, you could work wherever! You could work even in the farms. There were farms where people could work. Black people are a dismal, dismal failure!
They can’t govern. Let the power go back to White people. Let us just swallow our pride and give these White people power back so that the country can go back to normal.
We have to accept that we really, really respect people who fought for the liberation. We respect them and we were still going to respect them. But at the end of the day, we just have to take this power back to the White people.
We are tired! South Africa is a mess! Everywhere you go is a mess!
We are tired! We accept we failed! Black people cannot rule. Black people cannot govern.
White people should take over this country so that this country can have dignity back. All these things that are happening in our country, they will never happen again.
This problem of foreigners, this problem of crime, it won’t be there anymore! White people they don’t play. They don’t play, they rule, they govern!
The police, White police, they don’t play with criminals, they don’t play with undocumented people in the country.

It takes a lot of character to admit you were wrong, but unfortunately for everyone, she’s not going to get her wish – the genie can’t be put back in the bottle. Whites who are determined to stay in SA should be buying land and building sustainable and defendable communities.

Respect for her for swallowing any pride and admitting failure. This is how you learn and move forward – by identifying failures and why/how they happened. But I feel she may be a minority and little progress will actually be made.

Sub-Saharan Africa really is still at the tribal/clan stage of development. It’s not a criticism, just an observation. Trying to graft a modern society/government onto that underlying structure will not work.

Believe it or not, a ton of black people in south africa feel this way. African blacks are an entirely different breed than american blacks. I am not saying they are all like this woman, but a lot of them are.

This is a very powerful statement by this lady… Colonial rule wasn’t always positive, however tell me of one African or Caribbean country where the transition has improved the lives of the many; Zimbabwe, South Africa and Jamaica etc?

No, what you need is competent politicians, irrespective of race, who will govern in a manner that is best for the entire country, not just for certain groups. Please do that and set a good example for Europe, New Zealand, Australia, and America.

This is an interesting take. While I’m sure she’s not the only one frustrated with the state of things in SA, I doubt most people there share her opinion. Antiwhite attitudes are quite prevalent in SA.

The end to apartheid & gaining civil rights was important, but responsible governance should be based on merit & competence, not tribal solidarity. Black Africans can & should have positions of power but not just because they’re black, but because they’ve joined modernity.
